Tucker, Georgia – October 3, 2018 — Stone Mountain Community Improvement District (SMCID), a conglomerate of civic-minded business owners committed to the improvement and beautification of the area located along Mountain Industrial Boulevard, Highway 78 and East Ponce de Leon, has become Tucker Summit Community Improvement District (TSCID) and updated its brand.

SMCID was founded in 2011 and has cultivated strong relationships with the City of Tucker’s elected officials, the Tucker Police Department and community leaders. It is through these relationships that the CID is able to execute improvement and beautification projects in a timely manner and keep crime in the area at an all-time low.

However, since the CID’s district was entirely within the city limits of Tucker, the organization felt it was time to change the name and update its image. After conducting extensive research and surveying business owners, the CID board voted to change the name to Tucker Summit CID.

The new logo is fresher and bolder in color and combines the themes of business and technology while acknowledging its industrial beginnings. The cog around the sun is a nod to the area’s industrial past, while the arch highlights the new summit the district will reach as it continues to attract more diverse businesses in manufacturing, technology, health science and supply chain.

The new name and logo were unveiled at the quarterly owners’ meeting on October 3 at Stone Ridge Event Center. “Tucker Summit CID more accurately represents our district, as the majority of our incredible businesses have a Tucker address,” says Tucker Summit CID president Emory Morsberger. “No longer are we just an area for industrial and warehouse space, we are a thriving district for corporate headquarters, technology and health science businesses.”

The tagline, “Connectivity, Convenience & Accessibility,” communicates the attractiveness the central location is to businesses. The district’s proximity to Highway 78, I-285 and I-85 allow for easy access to metro Atlanta, Hartsfield Jackson Airport, the outlying cities and out of state.

Tucker Summit CID is looking forward towards building a future with businesses in the tech, medical lab and film industries and maintaining its strong relationships within the community.
