On October 3, the Stone Mountain CID announced that it is now Tucker Summit Community Improvement District at our quarterly CID owners’ meeting. The primary reason for the change was due to the fact that our CID was located entirely within the city of Tucker and not Stone Mountain.
This decision was not made lightly and the process, which took more than three months, entailed surveys, interviews and focus groups. We feel that this new name more accurately represents who we are as a business community and where we intend to head in the future. The CID is proud of the strong relationships it has with the Tucker Police Department, the Tucker Fire Department, the City of Tucker government and Tucker community. With the new name, Tucker Summit CID will only strengthen these bonds.
The new logo is bolder with brighter colors and is fresher with acknowledgements to the district’s industrial past — the cog representing the rising sun — combined with the image of the summit reaching towards the future. Our new tagline, “Connectivity, Convenience & Accessibility” communicates the centrality of the district to major thoroughfares and destinations throughout metro Atlanta and beyond.
Tucker Summit CID looks forward to growing the district and continuing the incredible relationships we’ve built within the community and City government.
