The Stone Mountain CID recently recognized the effectiveness of detectives stationed at the DeKalb County Police Department’s Tucker precinct. CID President Emory Morsberger praised detectives and other officers for their successful efforts throughout 2015.
“Your case clearance rate is over 24 percent, while the national average is 8 percent,” Morsberger said. “You all are doing an incredible job protecting our businesses and the more than 10,000 workers in our district.”
Morsberger noted a 10% reduction in the overall crime rate in the district for 2015, and praised the detectives for their work in breaking up an auto-theft ring that had struck areas across metro Atlanta.
“There’s been a 20% increase in new businesses moving in to the district, and that’s directly attributable to your efforts and incredible results,” Morsberger said.
