Crews are taking a brief break from their work of adding overhead lights to the Mountain Industrial Bridge over Highway 78. Contractors encountered an unexpected utility issue in the area that resulted in a three-week project delay. DeKalb County Watershed responded quickly to the utility conflict, and now the project is back on track.
The CID would like to thank Reginald Wells, Deputy Director of DeKalb County Watershed, and the Georgia Department of and Transportation inspector Reuben Woods as well as Nick Fields in the Utility Permit Department at the Chamblee District 7 office for their professional and expeditious resolution to the situation.
The lighting work should be completed in May.
