The Mayor and Council of the City of Tucker are taking the steps necessary to begin city operations. Committees appointed by Mayor Frank Auman are addressing what he called the “mundane but essential tasks needed to get the real work of the city done.”
“We have formed committees and work groups led by members of the City Council to look at everything from revenue sources to potential banking relationships to staffing needs to a formal Facebook policy for our official city Facebook page,” Auman said. “It’s not exciting, but these are the kinds of things we must have in place in order to follow through on our commitments to the people of Tucker who voted to become a city and trusted us to get it up and running.”
Auman added that in addition to public Council meetings and work sessions, city news will be released through email and social media channels as decisions are finalized.
