For the first time in its history, there are now overhead lights illuminating the Mountain Industrial Boulevard bridge over Highway 78. Installers recently added 10 light posts along the busy crossing to help drivers navigate the bridge in darkness. The fixtures use low-energy consumption light-emitting diodes (LED) for bright, cost-effective visibility.
The lighting project was funded through a grant from the State Road and Tollway Authority’s Georgia Transportation Infrastructure Bank, while the Stone Mountain CID funded design and inspection costs.
