CID Honors Officer for Protecting District

The CID presented DeKalb County Police Detective W.L. McClelland with an award for his outstanding service investigating crimes and commitment to protecting district businesses during 2014. His dedication played a significant role in reducing crimes committed against CID businesses. His investigative skills led to the felony arrest of four suspects who stole more than $20,000 of merchandise from Argix Logistics.

Nancy Jester: DeKalb’s Newest Commissioner Focused On Budget, Accountability

DeKalb County’s newest commissioner, Nancy Jester, was elected in a Special Election runoff last December with over 75% of the vote. She says the margin of her victory was due to voters’ demand for accountability, and she’s concentrating her energies on improving DeKalb County government.

Key Intersections Slated for Upgrades

Improvements are coming this year to a number of the CID’s most highly traveled intersections. This summer, DeKalb County HOST funds will be used to improve two intersections to accommodate commercial traffic in the District.
