CID adds lights to Mtn. Industrial bridge

For the first time in its history, there are now overhead lights illuminating the Mountain Industrial Boulevard bridge over Highway 78. Installers recently added 10 light posts along the busy crossing to help drivers navigate the bridge in darkness. The fixtures use low-energy consumption light-emitting diodes (LED) for bright, cost-effective visibility.

Special thanks to Larry Callahan for his CID service

The Stone Mountain CID thanks Larry Callahan for his service as an original Board Member and the first CID Chairman. His leadership and industry knowledge were instrumental in creating the CID and successfully guiding its programs, projects and growth strategies. Callahan, who is CEO of Pattillo Industrial Real Estate, has left his post after his company sold most of its area properties.

Elections bring locally significant changes

Recent primary elections in DeKalb showed voters ready for real changes in leadership, with new candidates for CEO and District Attorney, even though many incumbents held on to their positions.
