Incredible Corridor Initiative Crosses CID Boundaries

Leaders of the Stone Mountain, Lilburn and Gwinnett Village CIDs continue to find areas of cooperation and coordination across their district and county boundaries. Unifying efforts targeting the spaces along Mountain Industrial Boulevard and Jimmy Carter Boulevard will contribute to one Incredible Corridor serving the commercial property owners within the three CIDs.

Recent rain has brought some relief to North Georgia’s extreme drought, but it is still easy for damaging fires to occur nearly anywhere. A recent fire off of Lewis Road in the CID started after an employee’s cigarette sparked, and spread rapidly.

CID Roadway and Landscaping Improvements

Crews are completing substantial traffic-related improvements and planned landscaping upgrades at key locations in the Stone Mountain CID. Significant intersection improvement is underway at North Royal Drive at Lawrenceville Highway, the entrance to the Royal Atlanta Business Park.

Tucker Tomorrow: Civic Discussion on December 15

The city of Tucker is planning its future and seeking input from committed citizens as well as civic groups and community leaders. CID President Emory Morsberger will be presenting at the “Community Forum 2,” on Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at the Tucker Baptist Church Fellowship Hall (2367 Main Street, Tucker).

During the holiday season, criminals often prey on what they believe to be unsuspecting businesses. To help resist this unwanted attention, the Stone Mountain CID is once again increasing security patrols to close out the year.
