Stone Mountain CID is proud to welcome two new businesses that are moving into the district, Underpriced Furniture and Baytree Landscape.

Underpriced Furniture offers stylish, durable, quality home furnishings at an exceptionally low price. The furniture store was founded in 1986 and is currently located in Norcross.

Baytree Landscape’s executive team has more than 60 years of commercial landscape experience and expertise. Named to Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Top Commercial Landscape Companies List in January 2018, Baytree Landscape’s rank moved up to 9th from its debut at 11th in 2017.

Stone Mountain CID sponsors the local independent robotics team, F.I.R.S.T. Robotics Team 4080 - Team Reboot, which competes in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), is made up of a majority of homeschooled students.

SMCID Owners' Meeting Recap

To honor the Tucker Precinct Police Department for its hard work in keeping the community safe, the Stone Mountain Community Improvement District presented a $2,000 check to benefit the precinct gym. Projects

Mountain Industrial Blvd at Hugh Howell Road Intersection Improvements

The Stone Mountain CID aims to reduce traffic congestion and improve traffic flow at the intersection of Mountain Industrial Boulevard and Hugh Howell Road. Funding from GDOT was approved in July 2016 for turn lane additions and the project scope is currently under review for quotes and design fees with DeKalb County and the City of Tucker.

Highway 78 at Mountain Industrial Boulevard Interchange

A Diverging Diamond Interchange at Highway 78 and Mountain Industrial Boulevard was approved by the Stone Mountain CID board, and the design is under review for funding with the GDOT. The CID is conducting additional studies to collect more data so that GDOT can move forward with the concept design.

Gateway Signage at Royal Atlanta Business Park

Stone Mountain Community District Signage is planned for Royal Atlanta Business Park. The installation of granite walls and cor-ten weathering steel was completed in August 2017. The new pole placement and conduit installation to power the sign is awaiting permitting.
